Kathy is principal at IIC. She majored in computer science and has 20 years of P & C insurance experience. Starting as a Rater/Coder for a major insurance company. Kathy later worked into Systems Analyst and Actuarial Analyst functions for a major insurer. She joined IIC in 1985 in an Actuarial/Statistical Analyst role. As a senior analyst for IIC, Kathy specializes in the development of functional specifications used for software design and development and client data conversions.

CPCU, ARM, ALCM. Allen received his B.B.A. in Risk Management and Insurance from Georgia State University. He has a strong background in operation of insurance companies and agent company relations. Allen has experience in Marketing, Underwriting, Actuarial and Product Management.

Valerie Harper

Received a M.S. in Mathematics with a concentration in Statistics and Decision Sciences from Georgia State University and a B.S. in Statistics from the University of Georgia. She has been working in the Insurance Industry for 13 years and has experience in Property/Casualty actuarial services which includes NCCI Financial Calls compliance reporting, rate filings and reserve studies.

  Gwen Portis


Gwen received her M.B.A. in Organizational Development and a B.S. in Business Management from Upper Iowa University. She has been in the insurance industry for 17 years and has a strong background in systems/process development and data analysis for financial and statistical reporting. She has worked for various types of organizations within the insurance industry including Property Casualty, HMO, PPO, Life, and Pension. She also has experience as an auditor in the insurance regulatory industry. Gwen manages IIC’s technical support staff.
